Weekend Project: African Violet Tablescape

I have tweaked my dining room table scape again.  I know, I am never settled.  It all started back at BIL’s wedding…

The wedding favors were African violets.  Since we were there ’til the very end, I snagged two instead of one, because there were still a good many left.  At first I potted them together in the living room, but after talking it over with my mom, she said hers do well in a western window, which means they might do best in our dining room.

We already had two cute white pots from Ikea on the table with dried curly-q filler, but I was never completely happy with the way it looked.  So I re-potted the violets in small plastic pots which I put on rocks in the bottom of the white pots (they really don’t like water on their leaves, so I water them from the bottom).  Then I brought my little white birds back in to give it that little something.  I really like it now!

Fingers crossed that I won’t kill them!

I think Habitual Rearranger fits me well because I am never settled on designs, colors, or placement of items in our home. I drive Bradley crazy sometimes, but I keep figuring out new and better ways of doing things! I am not striving to be profound or an expert on anything in this blog. It is simply a way to keep a record of all of my adventures - home and life - for me to reference and also for my loved ones to follow along. I am a born and raised Georgia girl. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere except the south. Bradley and I spent six and a half years in our starter home and are now in our forever home, a 1970s traditional two story brick house. I love getting into all kinds of projects around our house, and I try to document all the dirty details here if for no one else than for me.
