Guest Bathroom Update

Guest Bathroom

My mom brought her miter saw and we made a frame to put around the plain mirror in the guest bathroom.  Because no wall, corner, ceiling in our house is square, level, or straight, it was hard to get the mirror frame up straight, but we did the best we could and I am pleased with the outcome.  We decided to paint it white like all the other trim instead of brown like the cabinet.  I figured if I decide I would rather have it brown, I can always paint it again.  Someday, I will also address the awful hollywood strip light in here too.

As we were painting the master bathroom, out of need for a shower, we discovered that the shower in the guest bathroom spewed everywhere and the lever to change it from faucet to shower head is so hard to pull up that Hercules would have struggled.  So we went to the Home Depot Clearance Center and I got another Moen shower faucet for $30.  We changed the shower head out so that at least it was not showering the walls anymore.  The faucet and handle will have to wait until another time.

The final project was replacing the toilet seat.  If I had known how cheap and easy this was, I would have done it when we first moved in.  The old seat cover was crackled and yucky on the underside (mom says probably from little boys peeing on it…ewwww).  Now it is shiny, smooth, and white.  I know, exciting, a toilet seat.  Riiiight.

I think Habitual Rearranger fits me well because I am never settled on designs, colors, or placement of items in our home. I drive Bradley crazy sometimes, but I keep figuring out new and better ways of doing things! I am not striving to be profound or an expert on anything in this blog. It is simply a way to keep a record of all of my adventures - home and life - for me to reference and also for my loved ones to follow along. I am a born and raised Georgia girl. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere except the south. Bradley and I spent six and a half years in our starter home and are now in our forever home, a 1970s traditional two story brick house. I love getting into all kinds of projects around our house, and I try to document all the dirty details here if for no one else than for me.
