Updated decor

After Christmas is a good time to do redecorating because I am having to move things around to un-decorate from the holidays.  I got my new art hung in the dining room, along with a mirror that I put in place of my wedding shadow box (which was relocated into our bedroom) over the buffet.  The shadow box was too small for the wall there.  I still need to work on the set up on top of the buffet, but its getting there.

Bradley wanted to leave the table extended after our New Year’s Eve party, so now I am motivated to get back to sanding the two extra chairs I am restaining because I think the table looks funny with only six chairs around it.

I also got this cute new table for our foyer for Christmas from my mom.  It fits so perfect on the half wall in front of the stairs.  This is what you would see as you walk through the front door.  I moved the cute metal D that SIL gave me for Christmas last year to over the table; I think it looks cute there!

I think Habitual Rearranger fits me well because I am never settled on designs, colors, or placement of items in our home. I drive Bradley crazy sometimes, but I keep figuring out new and better ways of doing things! I am not striving to be profound or an expert on anything in this blog. It is simply a way to keep a record of all of my adventures - home and life - for me to reference and also for my loved ones to follow along. I am a born and raised Georgia girl. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere except the south. Bradley and I spent six and a half years in our starter home and are now in our forever home, a 1970s traditional two story brick house. I love getting into all kinds of projects around our house, and I try to document all the dirty details here if for no one else than for me.
