Master Bathroom Updates

It is slow going on the finishing touches in the bathroom.  I have had the vanity cabinet painted (Behr Revival Mahogany) since before Recreate, but just not put back together.  I finally got around to hanging the doors back on the cabinet tonight, since it did involve drilling new hinge holes.  The paint color on the vanity actually looks darker in person, the camera flash brings out the red hue more.  I also hung the curtain over the open space in the vanity.

Bradley got the sink faucet put in this past weekend, and after some fuss, got all the little leaks worked out.  I love having a faucet with only one control for the hot/cold.  Now I just need to convince him how great it would be to have the new faucet put up in the shower that we bought at the Home Depot Clearance center.  I still have some touch up work on the trim to do, so no nit-picking.

I also got a shot of the new vanity light I got from the Progressive Lighting Outlet store.  Not ideally what I would have chosen if I had a limitless budget, but definitely 1/3 the price of anything else I had found that would even remotely work in here, since the mirror is so huge.  We went from six lights down to four, but since we also have a light over the tub/toilet area, I am not too worried.  Yea for no more hollywood lights in here!  Don’t mind the area that needs a paint touch-up  on either end of the light since the new light is a little less wide than the old one…I will get to that…someday.

I think Habitual Rearranger fits me well because I am never settled on designs, colors, or placement of items in our home. I drive Bradley crazy sometimes, but I keep figuring out new and better ways of doing things! I am not striving to be profound or an expert on anything in this blog. It is simply a way to keep a record of all of my adventures - home and life - for me to reference and also for my loved ones to follow along. I am a born and raised Georgia girl. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere except the south. Bradley and I spent six and a half years in our starter home and are now in our forever home, a 1970s traditional two story brick house. I love getting into all kinds of projects around our house, and I try to document all the dirty details here if for no one else than for me.
