Bradley and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in Mexico! We stayed at the all-inclusive Excellence Riviera Cancun resort. I think for both of us it was everything we expected from an all-inclusive. Lazy days on the beach, fruity drinks served right to your chair, watching other guests play beach volleyball, slow-paced dinners at a different resort restaurant every night and NO children running around. We ventured away from the resort for one afternoon to the local fishing village of Puerto Morelos to find our customary vacation Christmas ornament. We decided on a hand-painted terra cotta lizard that we have since named Azul.
This was the perfect vacation for two type A, over-planning, over-anxious people like us. Everything is taken care of in advance and no surprise last minute changes to plans, so we may be utilizing the all-inclusive route more often. Our only complaint was the rock hard bed. We were very sore by the time we got home. Maybe it is just a Mexico thing, or maybe the resort is hoping you will book spa treatments at an extra charge to help with that:)
can’t belive y’all have been married 5 years! so crazy! love the view!
