When Bradley’s grandparents moved to their assisted-living apartment, their home’s contents had to be cleared out to prepare for renters.  Bradley and I asked for a neat little velvet loveseat they had with lots of tufting across the back and arms.  The color is a dusty blue, which is not ideal, but reupholstering it doesn’t fit our household financial goals at the moment.  We rearranged his desk so that the loveseat could sit beneath the window in his office.  It is a perfect fit.

Office 0715dAfter finally pulling the trigger on curtain panels for the master bedroom, I decided it was time to get something up on his office windows as well.  I wasn’t sure what color to pair with the dusty blue loveseat and Roaring Mountain paint color, so I stayed safe with a dark indigo blue and cream pattern.

I found more square rice paper floor lamps like the one Bradley already had and loved (but had gone through a couple of accidents as a result of relocations and curious cat events).  We also placed a couple of toy train engines that came out of his grandparents’ home on the shelf with the vintage camera collection.  He has fond memories of playing with the train sets at their house when he was young.

I think Habitual Rearranger fits me well because I am never settled on designs, colors, or placement of items in our home. I drive Bradley crazy sometimes, but I keep figuring out new and better ways of doing things! I am not striving to be profound or an expert on anything in this blog. It is simply a way to keep a record of all of my adventures - home and life - for me to reference and also for my loved ones to follow along. I am a born and raised Georgia girl. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere except the south. Bradley and I spent six and a half years in our starter home and are now in our forever home, a 1970s traditional two story brick house. I love getting into all kinds of projects around our house, and I try to document all the dirty details here if for no one else than for me.
