Outdoor Decorations

Now that we are in our forever home with it’s large front porch and loads of character, I have been adding to my outdoor Christmas decorations.

Next to the front door, I use a vintage sled that came from Bradley’s grandfather when he downsized and two gold resin deer I got from Home Decorators.  To balance out those items, I add a pre-lit entry tree in an olive basket on the other side of the door.
Each year I hang wreaths from every window on the front of our house.  The symmetry of it was meant to be.  We got an early snow in 2017, so I snapped a shot of the decorated house covered in white.
My mom gave me some pillows for my red porch chairs.  She made the two with ornaments and purchased the two red velvety pillows from Pier 1 I believe.

In 2008 I decided to try my hand at making a UGA wreath for our house.  After Christmas in 2007, I had purchased the faux ‘frosted’ evergreen wreath and red berry picks on clearance at JoAnns.  The letters were also from the craft store, painted with red craft paint.  I found the Georgia ornaments at the beginning of the season in 2008 at Garden Ridge I believe.

The weather was not kind to my wreath at our first house, so I had to replace some of the berry picks in 2009.  I also added the Hairy Dawg ornament that I received from a friend.  I ended up liking the revised version better!

In 2014, we moved into our forever home which has a covered front porch that protects my wreaths from the weather.  I replaced the bow with one made from black and white chevron ribbon with red velvet back that I found on Trendy Tree.
